With an illustrious career spanning over 39 years, 21 of which have been in telecommunications and allied services, Sanjay is an established global leader in telecom and allied industry. His business interests now extend much beyond pure-play telecom to include Micro-learning, E-commerce, Green energy, Robotics & Cognitive computing, amongst other contemporary digital services.

For more than 13 years Sanjay played an active role in various industry forums like CII, COAI, and NASSCOM. He has also served on the Board and Executive Committee of GSMA (the global forum bringing together nearly 800 global mobile operators). Sanjay has been a director on the board of several leading companies (both listed and unlisted) across sectors and geographies, including Indus Towers, Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd., PVR Limited, VLCC, etc.

Presently, Sanjay is an active member on the board of Saudi Telecom Company and Tech-connect Retail Pvt. Ltd. Sanjay is also a Senior Advisor with Boston Consulting Group, Circles.Life, and Playmaker IQ. Prior to joining the Bharti Group, Sanjay has worked with Xerox India and Jay Engineering Works Ltd.
